The wonderful thing about being a writer, or entrepreneur is seeing a product reach the final stages, prior to launch.

Even better is the joy you get from every single stage of the process.

Some days it’s a hard slog, just like the 9-5 rat race.

On those days you can ease off the accelerator, work at your own pace, shift tasks or sometimes, yes, just motor on through.

The knowledge that your work, that you own, just you, is going out into the big wide scary but amazing world is enough to get you through.

It’s massively rewarding, the reward is the product let alone the money that can follow.

When I worked in ‘corporate’ I knew I was good at my job, but was often frustrated by the lack of freedom to see the job through.

My work often got binned, not through lack of skills, results or effort, but just because manager’s agendas and priorities shifted.

I no longer have to worry what the boss will do tomorrow!

This week, is a going to be fun. I’ve got my schedule of work set out, I can move it around if I need to, as long as I get the main stuff done.

I have a few books almost ready to edit, so am trying hard to stay focused on one at a time. I’m a squirrel so that’s not always easy.

You Tube and Podcast news

I’ve almost caught up on You Tube videos (over 80 now out in the world! Phew, loving that!)

That will make room for my podcast which will launch shortly. I’ll spend a few hours this week recording my up and coming podcast episodes.

Mostly, I’m really excited about my next children’s book! I saw the illustrations and they are GORGEOUS!

I’m just waiting for some last minute ‘tweaks’ then I’ll be uploading to the wonder of the web and ordering my author copies.

Then it goes LIVE!!! ARGH! Scary and exciting and yes very rewarding.

Even better as it’s a family project, so I’m showing my grand babies how to get a book out in the world.
