Big Changes Ahead

Hey, this year, halfway through Nanowrimo month, is my 60th birthday.

Wow.

I don’t like birthdays much, never have, but I felt I should mark the occasion somehow.

At the weekend I informed my email community…

So here’s the plan.

The Next Year Will Be…

My Year of Creativity and Focus

Why Bother?

To give me the time and space to indulge my passions of family and writing, I need to let some stuff go. Some more reluctantly than others.

This year I have launched a new pen name and it reignited, if it had faded slightly, my love of writing.

As a result, I’ve been contemplating and planning a change for a few months now. This is just a part of what lies ahead.

The more you acknowledge time is ticking, the more it focuses attention on what you love. And what you want your legacy to be.

If Not Now, When

I’ve been stretched thin for a while, and whilst I loved every moment, it’s time to focus.

We must overcome our fear of letting go of things.

Allow ourselves time to indulge our creativity, to nourish ourselves physically and spiritually and share our gift and joy with our community.

I want more books out in the world. My characters demand more time and attention.

It’s also time to get selfish about self-care and recognise I need more time to get creative with my family, with paint, textiles or dabbling and exploring new artistic outlets.

What Does This Mean For You?

No big deal to be honest. But for me it will be huge.

My email community will be my online priority.

They’ll receive exclusive content, news, stories and deals. No spam. Not on my list yet?

Changing Direction

My instagram ‘travel’ account is now about ‘the journey’ not ‘a journey’ as I travel less and embrace a more planet-friendly lifestyle.

Now I’m a vegetarian, I wish to further explore the world of eco-options. It’ll be where I explore all things ‘green’ from tree-planting, recycling, crafting to minimalism, you get the idea.

I hope to show others that embracing a different lifestyle doesn’t have to be hard. I won’t be perfect for sure, but we can all do our bit to help Mother Earth, and other communities. I want to use my presence there to promote other eco brands.

Why not join me, making small changes but important ones?
